Loved our stay! 5 of 5 Stars
We booked this home to have a summer trip for our family including our adult kids and 2 grandkids.
The yard was excellent for the kids to play and easy for us since the yard is fenced and there are lots of chairs under the shade trees.
The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. There is a large pavillion area that my daughter loved because it gave her a place to excercise in the morning and let the kids run around.
The view of the river is lovely. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets each night and even saw a few manatees at the end of the dock. Tried fishing off the dock but didn't catch much.
My husband loved making a fire in the fire pit every night. There were plenty of chairs around the fire for everyone and the kids were able to make s'mores!
The house is just a short drive (about half hour) to St Augustine and the St Augustine Wildlife Refuge (awesome tour). Everyone had a great time and as I posted photos on line I had several friends interested in the property!!!!
Would definitely recommend this property. Owners were very nice too! Submitted: Aug 21, 2017

Found Heaven!!!!! 5 of 5 Stars
My husband and I just returned from our visit to Secret Cove. Property owners Cyndy and Michael were easy to deal with making our reservation, and extremely accommodating and friendly.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special! The beautiful electronic wrought iron gate swung open to reveal a drive toward the house with ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss. The three acre property made us feel very private and secure.
The house itself took our breath away - the view of the river is visible from virtually every location! Each room held surprises, as the subtle and tasteful beach motif blended with updated country charm. The beds were very comfortable, and it didn't take long for us to feel right at home. We loved waking up in the morning, and enjoying the quiet of the river on the porch that wraps around 2/3 of the house.
Squirrels played on the open, fenced yard, while a heron worked on building his nest in the tower of a scuttled boat just offshore. The kitchen is amazing, with plenty of space and storage for cooking, or just hanging out snacking. The little 'wine tasting room' was excellent to entertain local friends from town.
The drive into St. Augustine isn't a bad one - very easy. Days were spent shopping along historic St. George Street, visiting museums, or playing at the beach - but we always loved coming 'home' in the evening to this gorgeous hideaway. We found ourselves wishing our entire family was here to enjoy it with us - it's so spacious!
The property itself commands you to slow down, breathe deeply, and relax! It's been days since we left, and I have found myself dreaming of this beautiful spot nearly every day, planning our next return! A true dream vacation! Submitted: Apr 7, 2017
